Ana Telles Béreau
Ana Telles studied in Lisbon (Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa), New York (Manhattan School of Music, New York University) and Paris, with Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen, Sara Buechner and Nina Svetlanova, among others. She received her doctorate from the University of Paris IV - Sorbonne (France).
She has performed extensively in Portugal, Germany, the United Kingdom, Denmark, France, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Croatia, Cuba, Taiwan, South Korea, Brazil, the USA and Canada, having played as a soloist with numerous international orchestras. Her discography includes twenty-six titles.
As an integrated researcher at CESEM, she has authored of a significant number of book chapters, articles in indexed journals and musical editions, including a critical edition of Luís de Freitas Branco's Preludes for Piano.
Ana Telles has received grants from the Foundation for Science and Technology and the Fulbright Programme. In 2020, she was elected a member of the Board of Representatives of ELIA - European League of Institutes of the Arts. In January 2023, she became a member of the Executive Group of ELIA. She has been a panel coordinator for the Foundation for Science and Technology and Fulbright Portugal. She is a Full Professor and Vice-Rector for Culture and Community at the University of Évora.
