Inês Sapeta Dias

Inês Sapeta Dias works at the intersection of research, filmmaking, and film programming. In 2018 she finished her PhD thesis on cinema programming and has curated film programs since 2004, primarily at AML – Videoteca. There, she launched projects such as TRAÇA, Imaginary Topographies, and What is the Archive? Among other publications, she co-edited the books What is the Archive? and I didn’t even know Marvila existed (Sistema Solar), A map of Lisbon in Cinema (Dafne). She made two films and is currently co-directing Atlas of an Amateur Cinema, a 13-episode TV series. Since 2019, she teaches documentary cinema at Ar.Co.
