Bios

Leonor Cardoso

Leonor Cardoso began her Landscape Architecture studies in Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, in Lisbon and graduated in 2007. She completed her Post-Graduation in Urban Studies in University College London, in London in 2010. She began working in 2007 at Global Landscape Architecture where she remained for 5 years, working mainly in public spaces and also private projects. In 2014, she started working for Proap, becoming project coordinator. In 2016, she joins Promontório Architects, as a part of the Landscape Architecture Department.

Teresa Amaro Alfaiate

Teresa Amaro Alfaiate received her PhD from the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa in 2001. She was granted a Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia scholarship (UTL / TU Berlin) from 1999-1996. She graduated in Landscape Architecture in the University of Évora, in 1986. She founds and coordinated the Margem Arquitectura Paisagista studio (1993-2025), developing landscape architecture project in multidisciplinary contexts, with emphasis in projects of urban public space and regeneration of historical sites.

She is a Professor in Univesidade de Lisboa, coordinating and teaching Project and Landscape Architecture Theory (1992-2025). She has participated and lead research teams on the Green Structure, Water Structure and Urban Design through Water of Lisbon and its metropolitan area.

She co-edited “Estrutura Verde de Lisboa” with Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles e Manuela Raposo Magalhães.
