Cláudia Batista

Cláudia Batista finished her master's degree in architecture at the University of Évora at the end of 2024. Her dissertation was called «Cartography of the Method. The (geo)graphies of Álvaro Siza’s sketchbooks regarding the construction of Malagueira », under the guidance of Pedro Guilherme and Sofia Salema. She has been working in the research project “Malagueira: Heritage for all. Contributions for its nomination / MALAGUEIRA.PT” for about a year and a half. In the 2023/23 academic year, she was a mentor for Project III and IV (bachelor's degree), and Urban Design (master’s level). She is currently a PhD student at the University of Évora, researching the topic “The drawing of place in architectural poiesis: (Meta)cartography of the dialectics between time, the fragmentary, and the landscape through the work of Álvaro Siza and Alvar Aalto”
